Baby Shower

During the 4th of July last year my sister in law announced her baby news!  My mother quickly volunteered for me to throw the baby shower.  Now I had given Samantha a bridal shower and felt confident to complete a baby shower for her; however it quickly got out of control.

Bridal Shower

Weeks of planning and staying up until the wee hours of the night on my birthday, but the bridal shower turned out beautifully!  I am so super excited to share these photos of the party.  Although there were 25 who responded with a yes, but only 15 showed up, it was still a great time.  On a side note rant…if you say you are going to be somewhere, you should be there.  Anyways, the groom-to-be joined in on the fun unexpectedly as well as participated in the events which made it all that much more fun.  My husband was the official photographer, so bare with him!!

Paw Paw Party!

Since we have been married the next logical question is, “when are ya gonna have babies?”  Well, for those who know us know that I, we, absolutely ADORE our dogs.  I have mentioned Zeus.  He is our recent rescue.  We have had him for well over a year now.  He celebrated his 2nd birthday on March 21st.  He is 1/2 bull mastiff, 1/4 terrier and 1/4 spaniel.  An interesting combination if I do say so myself.  He has so much energy, but at the end of the day loves to be cuddled to sleep.  Then, we have Rolo.  We adopted Rolo just after he was weened from his mommy.  He was an “oops” puppy.  He is 1/2 pit bull and 1/2 yellow lab, the sweetest baby you would ever meet!  I love him to pieces.  His birthday is on the 29th and he will be 7.  Although he is getting old, he still has lots of spunk in him when you mention the word, “cookie” :0)  To celebrate this year I found an awesome cake recipe for the pups.

The Wedding

I realize that it has been about a few weeks or better since I have posted and although there have been no fun crafting activities with school back in full swing, our wedding photos have arrived and wanted to share!

I know that none of my family reads my blog; however, I want to give a huge thank you to my parents for hosting this delightful event at their home.  We definitely had a cost-effective wedding!  My mother, bless her heart, planned every single detail out and made it the day of my dreams!!  I love her so much!!

Also a huge thank you to Smokin on Site catering, that was the most delicious BBQ I have ever had in my life!!

A mighty “thank you” to our photographers, who were FREE!!  They may be amateurs but they captured everything we wanted anyways.  Our DJ who gave us a heck of a deal, my cousin!, who kept the party rockin until 2AM and the dance floor full the entire time!

Enjoy the photos!

It’s Official….

After the last beer was drunk and last piece of cake was eaten, I officially was Mrs. Richman.  Even after 8 years of dating I never once had “practiced” writing my name with my now husbands last name…its kinda strang.  People ask if you “feel any different” now that you are married and truthfully, I don’t.  I feel exactly where I should at this point in time in my life.  I feel comfort in knowing that my soul-mate will be with me forever.  Since the final preparations of wedding planning and ending summer semester I had not yet had time to do any crafting as I would have liked, but as our “honeymoon” is winding down I thought I would share some of our at home wedding photos.  We decided to get married at my parents home as I feel it is the most peaceful and beautiful place on earth and ever since I was little, I wanted an at home wedding.  It was more perfect than I could have ever imagined.  I am so thankful for all those that were involved, especially my parents for all their hard work in preparations!!
